| A Family Business |
Alex Wilkins Blacksmiths is our family blacksmiths business established in 1994 working out of a traditional forge workshop based in rural Herefordshire.
We are a father and son partnership, Alex and Floyd, we work together making ironwork mostly for architectural and garden uses; window and door furniture, curtain poles, fireplaces, gates and railings.
We also enjoy taking on individual customer commissions for homes and gardens making furniture, sculptures and practical items such as fire irons and paper knives.
Included in our ranges are hooks for the home and garden. Customers have also continued over the years to fall in-love with our trademark range of snails, that have been purchased and sent all over the world.

| Percy Victor Wilkins, Alex's father |
|
Percy's father was a blacksmith and discouraged him from persuing the career. Instead he became a very successful timber feller.
Percy's father was a traditional village blacksmith and his grandfather was a wheelwright and a blacksmith. As times have changed we have become more specialised.

| The Workshop |
Our Workshop is based between Hereford and Worcester and is open from 8.30am till 5pm Monday to Saturday, however it is best to phone before visiting.
We work using a mixture of traditional and modern methods to create a wide range of handmade products for the home and garden.
We have coke forges and gas furnaces and use them in conjunction with hand and power hammers to manipulate the steel to the desired form.
